March 2015.  The Royal Mint commissioned this relief portrait for the 50th anniversary Churchill coin.  I am delighted to report that it sold out in record time.

The Royal Mint commissioned me to design and make a relief sculpture to commemorate Queen Anne. I have set a formal but non-idealised portrait, referencing coin images of monarchs, into a baroque frame that features heraldic hints from her life and reign. "Queen Anne reigned in an age of artistic and cultural advancement and left behind political stability and prosperity". To celebrate her life and legacy, The Royal Mint has struck the 300th Anniversary of the Death of Queen Anne £5 Coin.
